Nicholas's Adventures

Nicholas has had some fun adventures recently! We went to the Animal Planet Expo a few weekends ago. We got to see some animals and Nicholas got his first tattoo. He got a dog :0) After a week of having to stay in the house (because of his asthma episode), Nick was able to go back to MyGym and his other activities. He even went to a camp a MyGym last week. He'll be going again this Tuesday. We also took him to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time last week. John and I were pretty disappointed. You'd think since there is only one in the Salt Lake Valley, it would be real nice. That is not the case! But, Nicholas had a blast, so that is all that matters. Nicholas wore his water wings around the house yesterday, so I took the hint and took him to the pool today :0) We had a lot of fun. We have a few more things going on this week, but we're mainly looking forward to Grandpa (my dad) coming out for 10 days beginning this Friday!!! We cannot wait for him to get here :0) For those of you who keep asking...I will post some pics of me looking like a pregasaurus very soon.

Update

Nicholas has been a busy boy lately! We took a trip to Sandpoint, ID to visit our friends Matt, Val, & Baby Dallen over the 4th of July. I will get those pics up soon...I have 200+ to go through. We had a great time and I will write all about it. I took Nicholas to a petting zoo (that had all mini animals) a few weeks ago and he LOVED it! He was so excited to be able to "hold" all the animals. He was especially interested in the white duck. He is still going to his classes at MyGym and will be starting camps once a week there again next week. Nicholas is on the waiting list to get in to the pre school right up the road from us. We should know by the end of the month if he got in. He'll start that in August. I started taking Nicholas to music classes at the Discovery Gateway Museum. He really liked the class and it looks like we might try to work that into his regular schedule.
I am 22 weeks pregnant now and still getting sick about once a week. Hopefully that sickness will stop all together soon! Everything is going great with the pregnancy and we're just waiting for November to get here! John is doing great. He is in the process of finishing our basement and he hopes to get it done before the baby gets here.

It's a....

BOY!!!!!!
We are so excited that we are having another boy! We had an hour long ultrasound today so we got to see him for a nice long time. We got to see him in 2-D and 3-D. He looks pretty cute :0) Nicholas is excited for his baby brother to get here. Anytime we talk about the baby getting here, he starts looking around for him. We're all just ready for him to get here. It is going to be a long 18 weeks for all of us! Here are some pics from today...

The 3-D pics are crazy. If you look right in the middle, you can make out his cute little face :0) You can see some arms and legs off to the left. He had his legs and arms up by his face. There was a lot going on in front of his face, so we didn't get a super clear face shot. But, I'll take what we got!

Nicholas's News

Nicholas is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!!!

Baby #2 is due in November. We are 16 weeks pregnant. We don't know what we are having yet, hopefully we'll know in the next few weeks (unless I decide to be surprised this time!). I will keep you updated on the Blog now that all of our family knows. We had an ultrasound at 13 weeks for the 1st Trimester Screening and everything looked great. The picture of the baby is not the best, so we'll post one as soon as we get good one. Nicholas's Fun Weekend

Nicholas had a fun weekend. He woke up in a goofy mood yesterday, which made breakfast fun. He went to play with his buddy, Eli, in the afternoon. They had a blast riding in Eli's Powerwheels truck :) Nick actually ate 1 whole chicken finger for dinner! That might not seem like a lot, but he has been on a hunger strike recently. Today Nicholas ate a big breakfast and then we headed to the zoo. We saw some animals, played at the park, fed some ducks, and then we went to see the Discovery Animal Show. At the end of the show, Nick was able to pet some of the animals we learned about. He was very excited to pet them (he wants to pet and hold every animal we see at the zoo!). He loves all animals and wasn't afraid of any of them :)

Haircut Time

After keeping his hair shaggy for the winter, we decided it was time to get Nick's hair cut short again. When John went in to get Nicholas in the morning, he was coaching him to not sit in the pink car. So, he would have Nick repeat "Don't sit in the pink car today." When we got to Cookie Cutters, we asked him what he wanted to sit in. He usually goes straight for the red race car, but he stopped at the pink car. I asked if he wanted the red race car and he said, "Daddy likes the pink car." Nicholas did not quite understand what daddy was telling him...haha. So, he had to sit in the pink car (for daddy) yesterday. It had been a while since they had used the clippers on him, and he was not too thrilled with them. Usually, he doesn't care about them. But, as you can tell in one of the pictures, he was not too happy yesterday. He looks like a whole new boy with his new haircut. I think it took a few months off his age ;0)

Nick Update

Here are some pictures from Nicholas at MyGym on Wednesday. He loves "How Do"(he calls it that becuase of the "How Do You Do" song) days. The drive down there is fun with Nick. He points out when he sees one of our 3 cars and pretty much anything else he sees and knows. In fact, he saw a panda on the drive down this week :0) HAHA When we get off the highway at the exit for MyGym, Nicholas says "Almost there!" He really knows his way around town.
