Gymnastics Class

Nicholas had a blast at gymnastics class yesterday. The past few classes, he has spent most of his time in the ball pit. I was so excited that he decided to get out of the ball pit and do some other activities. Don’t get me wrong, he still spent a lot of time in the ball pit and shooting hoops (both of which he has at home). He really liked the rings last week, but I didn’t have my camera. So, I made sure to bring it this week. Nick is just chugging along. He is learning and doing more and more every day. It is so fun to have conversations with him. Last night at dinner he was asking for apples. When John and I offered him peas…he said “Apples not peas!” It was pretty cute :0) I can’t believe he is almost 2!!

They just added a video feature on Blogger. I took some video of Nick in the Trapeze and posted it. We’ll see how it works. If it works well, I will keep posting videos on here too :0)

Pumpkin Patch

We took Nicholas to the "Great Pumpkin Patch" today. He loves pumpkins and saying "pumpkin". He had a blast running around and pointing to all the pumpkins. It was hard to get any pictures of him because he runs all the time. But, I am sure you get the idea of how cute it was ;0) We are thinking of going back for another pumpkin and some more pictures this week.

Nick's 1st Free Haircut

Nicholas got a free haircut at Cookie Cutters today :0) You earn a free haircut after you have 12. It is so hard to believe that he has already had 12 haircuts! Nick wanted the red race car today, but there was already a boy in it. That did not stop Nick...he tried to remove the boy from the race car!!! Everyone thought it was pretty funny. I was relived that the other boy's mom thought it was funny and not annoying :0) Since the red car was taken, Nicholas chose the pink car. Again, everyone thought it was pretty funny to see a little boy all decked out in camouflage sitting in a pink car. He was great during the haircut. He just laughed the whole time. We really lucked out that he likes getting his hair cut since he goes so much. The rest of the pictures are from today as well.

Finally Back Up & Running!

I am finally getting our Blog back up and running :0) I know that a lot of you have missed the Blog and seeing Nicholas grow over the past few months. We have a lot going on here and I couldn’t find the time to sit down and do the Blog. I will try to update you all as much as I can from now on.

Nicholas is doing great. He is so big and very fast. He loves to run around and climb on everything. He can climb up the ladder on the playground in our backyard all by himself now. He loves to play on his playground and especially loves to go down the slide! He also loves to play in his sandbox. It always results in Nick throwing sand all over himself, but he loves it. He loves to mow the lawn with his bubble mower and throw balls for Jackson. He would spend every waking moment playing outside if he could.

Nicholas also loves to read, play blocks, play cars, play his instruments, and play basketball. He cheers for himself every time he dunks the basketball :0) He also loves to watch “George” (Curious George). I guess it could be worse…he could like the Wiggles!! Even inside the house, he loves to run around and climb things. I think he’ll be climbing out of his crib any day now. Nick has become quite the little talker. He repeats pretty much everything he hears now. He is learning so many new words every day and can even say a few sentences. His favorite sentence at lunch today was “I’m so funny!” He was saying that as he was making a mess with his food. He can also name a lot of things that he sees around or in books. I am pretty sure that Nick is a genius ;0) But, then again, I guess we all pretty much knew that the day he was born!! HAHA I will try to update you sooner than 3 months next time!

Another one of Nick's well-balanced meals!
