After my last post in November, we went to Disneyland to celebrate the boy's birthdays :D It was all we dreamed of and more! The boys had such a fun time meeting their favorite characters and rising the rides. I love everything Disney, so I was in heaven ;) Even John had a great time. The weather was a bit colder then we had expected, which kept the crowds down. After a few days at Disneyland, we headed to San Diego. We went to Sea World & The San Diego Zoo. We had so much fun feeding dolphins, watching shows, and seeing all the cool animals. The boys went to the beach for the first time (in their winter gear!) and loved it. We had dinner with my friend, Nicole, who we hadn't seen since our last trip to CA. It was great catching up with her :) We were all sad to go home from this vacation!

After we got home, Nicholas turned 5! I can't believe he's 5 already...where did the time go!? My family was out for Christmas. While they were here, we went up to Solitude for some skiing. I tired to get Zachary in his backpack, and he told me he wanted to ski. So, I put him on skis and away he went!! I wasn't planning on teaching my 2 year 1 month old to ski, but he was ready! He was getting down the hill very well by the end of the season :) Nicholas was a superstar on skis this year too. He got off his harness and was doing blue runs without any assistance. We went skiing every Sunday of the season (that the boys weren't sick). We were all really sad to see the ski season end!

My mom was back out for Easter. The boys had a blast playing with her while she was here! We did the penguin encounter at the aquarium while she was here. You get to go into a room with the penguins. Zachary was most excited about this since penguins are his favorite animal. We had such a fun time doing it and can't wait to go again :) We also fed the stingrays that day. We just got back from a trip to St. George with friends, and it was awesome! We spent a lot of time swimming and did some hiking at Zion. We grilled on the balcony overlooking the pool every night. It was tough to come home from that trip too!

Nicholas has his eardrum reconstruction surgery on December 29th. He got his hearing back in his right ear :) He started playing soccer this Spring. In the first half of his first game, he played Goalie (just like mommy) :) He has 1 more day of school left. It is crazy how fast this year went by! He learned so much and is such a smart, funny boy :) We decided to send him to public school next year for Kindergarten. I am nervous and excited at the same time. It is sure going to be strange to be on the other end of the spectrum of things (dropping my child off to a K teacher instead of being the K teacher)!
Zachary is getting bigger & smarter everyday! Some days the things he says just amaze me. His 2 favorite things to talk about are his "Pooh Bear Blankie" & basketball. I think he is going to be our NBA player for sure! He will be starting preschool in August!! Ahhhhh! He has been asking to go to school all year. He is really excited to be going to school. It will be interesting to have a little time to myself 2 days a week.
