Jackson's Update!!
As I read our update last night after I posted it, I realized that I left Jackson's update out. So, here it is:
Jackson is doing great. He loves having us home with him. He gets a lot of attention from Nicholas. Nick will do anything to try to get Jackson to chase him! Jackson is starting to play with Nick a bit more. We are working on getting Nicholas to stop yelling at Jackson when he wants to throw his toy to him. We tell him to ask Jackson to "Drop it." It works for a little bit until Nick gets frustrated. Nicholas loves to give Jackson treats. He will tell me of he wants to give Jax a cat or mailman shaped treat. Then, he tells Jackson to sit and gives him his treat. Nick also loves to hug and climb on Jackson. Jax is very good about letting Nick climb on him. He never gets snappy; he just gets up if it bothers him. Jackson loves to go for rides in the car with us. I take him with us if we are going to the drive-thru bank or fast food place. Jackson also loves to play in the snow. He runs around like crazy when we are outside. I am sure he is looking forward to the Spring when we can take him on long walks and play in the backyard for hours! We sure lucked out with Jackson, he is the best dog :0)

Finally...an Update for You All :0)
I finally have some time to sit down and write an update for you all. We have gotten a lot of snow over the past few days, and we are getting even more over the next few days. Nicholas asks to go skiing in the backyard every day. Thank goodness he likes the snow now. I was pretty worried after the first time I took him out! I am planning on getting Nick out on the slopes by the end of the ski season. It should be interesting...just like the good 'ol days teaching Kinderski at Blue Knob :0) We are just so glad that Nicholas likes to have his skis on...it is one of the biggest hurdles to get over with teaching kids to ski.
Nick is learning more and more words every day. He repeats everything he hears. He is also saying more sentences. He thinks about what he is trying to say before he says it to us. It is fun to have conversations with him. It is so nice that he can use words to tell us what he wants and needs now. Before we leave to house to go "Bye-bye cars", Nicholas has to say good-bye to everything in the house. My favorite not too long ago was "Bye-bye Daddy's shoes!" I do have to plan a few extra minutes for him to get all of his good-byes in. Then, as we leave the house, he says bye to the house and Jackson. He loves to talk to everyone we see. We usually go to the same cashier when we are grocery shopping. She just loves Nick! He talks to her the whole time we are checking out and yells “Bye-bye” as we walk away. He is a very friendly and social little guy :0) He still loves “George” and now really likes the movie “Cars”.
We are still going to gymnastics class every week. Nicholas still loves it. He is even going to try going to a camp next Friday at MyGym. It is from 9-12. Hopefully, he’ll be ok staying there with people he knows at a place he loves. It will be nice to get a few hours to myself. If he likes it, I might send him once a month. I also got him on the list for a “Mom’s Morning Out” program at a local Christian Church. Once he is potty trained, he can begin preschool. We are looking at a few schools (one of them is a Christian school attached to the church with the “Mom’s Morning Out” program). He will only go 1-2 days a week for 3 hours. Most likely, he will start sometime in the Fall. I am sure I will have a harder time with him going to school than he will!!
John is still working for Spillman Technologies. We got to use their company condo at Bear Lake over Christmas. It was very nice and fully stocked. We got a few days in snowboarding, which was really nice. We can’t wait to go back again. The company also has condos available for us to use in St. George, UT and Jackson Hole. It is a very nice perk. John was voted the “Most Valuable Team Member” on his team last week. It was the first week they did it, and John got the award. They gave him a few choices of gift cards. Another nice perk :0)
I was voted “Most Valuable Mommy” by Nicholas this week :0) HAHA I am still staying home with Nick full-time. And, believe me, staying home with a 2-year old is definitely full time work! He keeps me on my toes and moving all the time. I try to get him out of the house and doing fun things as much as I can. It is hard in the winter though, I don’t like to go out with him when the roads are real bad. I try to do Pampered Chef as much as I can, but am having a hard time getting as many shows as I would like. Hopefully soon, I will be back up and doing shows like I was before Nicholas was born.

As you can tell, we are keeping pretty busy out here! I will try to update you and post more pictures soon.

More January Nick Pics
Here are some more pictures of Nicholas from the past few weeks. I am still trying to figure out how to make the videos I take on my new digital camera smaller. They are such great quality compared to the old camera. I have some cute videos to put up, so I will work on that tomorrow if I get a chance. We had a nice snow storm yesterday, so Nick should get some skiing in sometime soon :0)
